    Understanding
Supported Employment

Supported Employment is a personalized, person-centered approach that helps individuals with I/DD explore, find, and grow in jobs that are truly meaningful. It’s not just about getting hired—it’s about finding a role that fits, building confidence, offering the right tools, and fostering independence.

  • Job Developers work to match individuals with inclusive employers based on their strengths and interests.

  • Job Coaches provide direct support—on and off-site—to help with learning tasks, communication, and building workplace routines.

  • Supported Employment is rooted in the belief that everyone can thrive when the right supports are in place.

Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission

At Aspire Workforce, we believe meaningful employment is a human right. Our mission is to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to discover their strengths, make informed choices, and thrive in inclusive workplaces.

We amplify the voices of those we serve by building trust, providing the right tools, and partnering with families, Vocational Rehabilitation, and businesses. Through personalized support and real community collaboration, we help individuals gain skills, confidence, and careers that last a lifetime.

Together, we are bridging the gap between ability and opportunity—one job at a time.

Our Vision

We envision a future where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) are central to a diverse and inclusive workforce. This future is grounded in dignity, respect, and self-determination—where every person can choose, participate, and thrive.

At Aspire Workforce, we listen, advocate, and walk beside each individual as they build their careers and futures.

Our Purpose

At Aspire Workforce, we:

  • Amplify the voices of those we serve, encouraging choice, independence, and confidence.

  • Collaborate with families, employers, and communities to create long-term, inclusive success.

  • Tailor employment opportunities to fit individual strengths through custom employment solutions.

  • Support both clients and employers every step of the way with job coaching, retention strategies, and advocacy.

Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Are Essential

  • Inclusion means more than an invitation—it’s belonging. It’s about building spaces where people with disabilities are welcomed, supported, and empowered.

  • Diversity strengthens our workplaces and our world. Different backgrounds, identities, and abilities bring fresh ideas and build stronger communities.

  • Equity means providing what’s needed for success—training, accommodations, flexibility, and compassion. It’s about creating opportunities, not just access.

We know that when businesses embrace equity and inclusion, everyone benefits.
